Drawing inspiration from the Spring/Summer 2016 runway collection, Gucciâs creative director Alessandro Michele introduces animal and nature iconography to the Italian fashion houseâs jewellery collection. With motifs ranging from birds to beasts to blooms, these extravagant, richly coloured baubles are decidedly not for the shy wallflower.
The idea was to play with people's minds. To create an eye-catching optical illusion that would make people sit up and take notice. With the objects hidden in plain sight the mind needs to work at the image.
To separate the foreground from the background. And to appreciate what they eventually find...everyday items turned into works of art.
